Irene Stainton has 30 years’ experience as a State Public Servant, Primarily in Executive and Senior Management positions. She has an extensive background in public housing, welfare services and has long been an advocate for Aboriginal cultural heritage.
Irene serves as a Trustee of the Western Australian Museum and is the Chairperson of its Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Advisory Committee, is a member of the Indigenous Advisory Committee of the National Museum of Australia, and is Chairperson of the Aboriginal Advisory Committee of the National Trust of WA.
Irene is an Elder in her community and a proud mother and grandmother.
